Fri, Apr 24, 2015

The Golden Jubilee National Hospital is proud to announce that it has appointed Anne Marie Cavanagh as its new Nurse Director.

Mrs Cavanagh was appointed following a rigorous two-day recruitment process which included competency based interviews, pyschometric testing and chairing a multi-disciplinary discussion. The hospital’s unique process for senior managers and clinicians allows interview panels to determine how well a candidate measures against key competencies such as patient focus, safety, leadership, teamwork, communication, quality, resilience and knowledge.

Speaking after her appointment, Anne Marie said: “Having worked as a nurse for almost 30 years, and with experience in senior roles, I feel well equipped to take on this position at this very exciting time.

“The Golden Jubilee is committed to developing new and innovative ways to ensure patients receive the highest possible standard of care, so I am really looking forward to helping enhance our already excellent services, which will ensure we continue to provide the safest and highest quality care for all of our patients.”

Jill Young, Chief Executive, added: “I am delighted to officially welcome Anne Marie to the Board as our new Nurse Director. The Golden Jubilee has always been at the forefront of innovation, and Anne Marie’s wealth of experience, professional leadership and management, will ensure that we continue to provide a high quality nursing service that will benefit patients across Scotland.”
